Pura Pura Bolivia x Skateistan

We are very happy to announce that our Pura Pura Skatepark project in Bolivia has been selected as a Skateistan partner.

In 2014, MLSL constructed a community skatepark at the Pura Pura ecological park in La Paz. Since then, the local team of volunteers regularly taught skateboarding to vulnerable youth and gained a lot of experience with the implementation of programming activities, at Pura Pura skatepark and beyond.

Through this Skateistan initiative the Pura Pura team will receive financial and technical support, as well as training in Skateistan's methodology, with the aim to broaden the scope of their programs to reach more girls and indigenous youth in La Paz and Cochabamba. The support will be initially set for six months, at which point the project's success will be assessed for the possibility of a longer term investment.

The partnership with Skateistan is highly deserved and will allow the Pura Pura team to further develop programming activities and engage more children across Bolivia through skateboarding.
