There is no difference between me, a girl or a kid. Whether you speak a different language, Arab or Kurdish, we all skate in equality.
— Mohammed Karim, Suli Skatepark Team

Suli Skatepark is Iraq's first skatepark. Sulaymaniyah and surrounding areas host many displaced youths from other parts of Iraq and Syria whose lives have been affected by violence and war. Apart from daily loaner board sessions and weekly skate classes at the skatepark, local coaches run outreach programs at different refugee camps in Iraq.

More than 50 young Syrian refugees and internally displaced persons in Iraq take part in the program every week. In 2022, in order to expand their skate classes, the Suli skate crew constructed a second skatepark.
